Itinerary

Today, as your plane descends over Croatia, you will catch your first glimpse of the quintessentially Croatian orange and red roofs.

You will meet your Chinese guide who will drive you to the heart of the city in Zagreb. Exploring this ultra-walkable city, wandering from Jelačić Square towards the bronze statue of Marija Juric Zagorka, the country’s first female journalist.

Marking the northern end of King Tomislav Square is the Art Pavilion, originally built to serve as the Croatian Pavilion at the Budapest Millennial Exhibition of 1896 and you will also be visiting the outstanding Roman Catholic holy building, Zagreb Cathedral

Zagreb, the country’s capital, has found itself a place in the hearts of travellers in recent years, through its historically saturated architecture and ever-welcoming cafes.

This morning, venture into Ljubljana and cross several well-known bridges such as the fiery Dragon Bridge and Triple Bridge

With its emerald-green lake, picture-postcard church on an islet, a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke as backdrops, Lake Bled draws everyone from honeymooners lured by the over-the-top romantic setting to backpackers, who come for the hiking, biking, water sports and even canyoning possibilities!

Meanwhile, under the warm sunlight in Bled, make your way to Postojna Cave and tour around the fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries which brings you unlimited excitement!

Wake up in the morning and wander around Rovinj, you will see the tower of St. Euphemia Church marking its highest point and of course, you may take as many pictures as you want in such picturesque town.

Next, you shall indulge in Motovun where you will have a special demonstration by a local farmer with his sniffer dogs who will explain how the truffles are harvested. The friendly hosts will serve you with some local wine, cheese and truffle flavoured honey, pate and other truffle delicacies which you can also buy at the estate.

Discover the symbol of Opatija, Maiden with the Seagull which is located on the bank of the sea along the Lungomare seafront promenade. The story behind this is back in 1891, where Arthur Kesselstadt tragically lost his life in a sea storm in front of Opatija, so he placed the statue of “Madonna Del Mare” on the reef!

Cascading waterfalls, clear turquoise lakes and cathedral-like forest canopies weave together to form Plitvice Lakes National Park. The entire park sprawls out over 12,000 acres, with walking trails leading you under spruce and fir, through delicate meadows and up onto rock cliffs perched dramatically around the pristine lakes and board the boats for the amazing sightseeing tour!

Facing the harbour, Diocletian's Palace is one of the most imposing Roman ruins in existence and where you'll spend most of your time while in Split.

Don't expect a palace though, nor a museum. It is the city's living heart, its labyrinthine streets packed with friendly local people, iconic bars, shops and restaurants which offer scrumptious food.

Energized by the morning ocean breeze, you might then venture into the old city for breakfast at one of many cafes that spill out onto the cobblestone alleyways in Dubrovnik.

You're then transferred to the airport for your international departure, left to ponder the impressions and pick up your own literary narrative on the way home.
