The small country of Austria is a jewel at the heart of Central Europe. In only a few days you can experience culture, history, true Austrian tradition and stunningly beautiful countryside.
You will be greeted by a Chinese tour guide and escorted to Vienna. Embrace yourself in Schonbrunn Palace & Gardens and walk on the beautifully tended formal gardens of the palace, arranged in the French style!
Then, stroll around the Österreichisches Parlament aka Austrian Parliament as well as Hundertwasser House. This residential block of flats bears all the wackily creative hallmarks of Hundertwasser, Vienna’s radical architect and lover of uneven surfaces, with its curvy lines, crayon-bright colours and mosaic detail!
In the morning, you make your way with your private transfer towards Parndorf Outlet. Shop crazily in these exclusive designer stores which offer items from iconic fashion brands like Prada, Armani, Bally and Gucci to sporting labels like Nike and Adidas!
After fulfilling the desire of shopping, you will be led for a walking tour in Graz, Austria’s second-largest city. You may wander in the leafy green parkland and enjoy the view of sea with red rooftops and a narrow but fast-flowing river loudly gushing through its centre.
With pastel-coloured houses that cast shimmering reflections onto the glassy waters of the lake and with towering mountains on all sides, Hallstatt’s beauty alone would be enough to guarantee it fame.
You may board the boats chug tranquilly across the lake from the train station to the village, situated precariously on a narrow stretch of land between mountain and shore.
Then, venture into Salzburg. The elegant city of Salzburg was also the setting for the world-famous "Sound of Music" film. This tour will not only show you the highlights of the city, but also some of the original film locations!
Horses pull carriages along the cobbled streets of old town Salzburg. Their hooves clop on the stone and echo of off the walls as the bright yellow façade of Mozart’s former home shines against the bright blue sky.
Begin your tour where music enchants you! Traveling by minivan, witness some of the musical’s filming locations, including the Mirabell Gardens, the lakefront Schloss Leopoldskron that served as the Von Trapp home and head for the 17th-century Hellbrunn Castle to visit the reconstructed garden gazebo where Liesl and Rolf sang ' Sixteen Going on Seventeen!
Also, soak up the stunning scenery that formed the film’s opening scenes and see the romantic village of St. Gilgen, home to the movie’s mountain railway. Continue to the lakefront town of Mondsee to admire the yellow-painted church that hosted Maria’s wedding!
Then, leave the beauty of Salzburg behind and stop in the charming city of Innsbruck along the way. The rugged rock spires of the Nordkette Mountains more than 6,500 feet above sea level. The city embodies Austria, from its medieval old town to the grandeur of the Hapsburg palace and remarkable Baroque architecture.
After breakfast and short wander, travel to Pontresina in Switzerland.
Wander around the lively main street, great hiking and skiing right above the town whereas Val Roseg, with its hiking, cross-country skiing trails and horse-drawn carriage rides, is just across the valley, and the amazing Morterasch glacier is also close by.
You will then rest peacefully between Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana. Spend the rest of the day at St Moritz, a peaceful enclave of pastel-painted, slate-roofed chalets set against a dramatic backdrop of rugged, glacier-capped mountains.
After breakfast, leave the town streets behind and travel to Maienfeld to start your Heidiland experience. You will be visiting the famous Heidi's House Museum.
Crouching at the foot of forested mountains, hugging the banks of the Rhine and crowned by a turreted castle, Vaduz’s location is visually stunning and therefore, it is known as a postage-stamp-sized city with a postcard-perfect backdrop.
In the morning, the sunlight filters through the glaring windows of St Gallen Cathedral. You can see the cathedral features dark and stormy frescos and mint-green stucco embellishments.
Then, proceed venture into the Mediterranean garden on Mainau Island. Jutting out over the lake and bursting with flowers, the lusciously green islet of Mainau is a 45-hectare garden!
You then travel to Lucerne, the "Swiss Paradise on the Lake." Enjoy a scenic walking city tour of picturesque Lucerne, highlighted by a walk through the old town. The balance of the day is at leisure to do some shopping or simply enjoy the wonderful setting of this beautiful city on a lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Under Lucerne’s morning sunlight, you will be brought to Kapellbrücke aka Chapel Bridge that shines with the beauty of its history while the guide is recounting the necessary information to you.
Then, visit Lion of Lucerne, a giant dying lion carved out of a wall of sandstone rock above a pond at the east end of the medieval town which designed as a memorial for the mercenary soldiers from central Switzerland who lost their lives while serving the French king Louis XVI during the French Revolution.
Then, continue to Engelberg in the Swiss Alps and ride in a revolving cable car to the top of mighty Mount Titlis for majestic views of ice boulders and crevasses. Get closer to the crevasses on the Ice Flyer chairlift and walk across Europe’s highest suspension bridge for more spectacular views!
After savouring the historic marvels woven into the everyday lives of the locals, your private transfer will then escort you to airport for your flight home!
