Itinerary

Once you arrived Barcelona, you are greeted at the airport by our Chinese guide. First impressions of this city are always marvellous, artists and traders send shouts echoing down narrow lanes, alerting you to everything from paintings to olives.

You will then be transferred to Museu Picasso. Wander around this museum which houses one of the most extensive collections of artworks by the 20th-century Spanish artist Pablo Picasso!

Then, venture into a busy marina built for the Olympic sailing events, Puerto Olimpico. It is surrounded by bars and restaurants. An eye-catcher on the approach from Barceloneta is Frank Gehry’s giant copper fish sculpture.

Enjoy a relaxed morning taking in the epicurean pleasures of Barcelona. After the exploration of Puerto Olimpico, today you are guided amongst Gaudi’s early pleasures, his emblematic early work consisting of houses he designed for Barcelona’s late 19th-century elite. Casa Mila and Casa Batllo, the unusual and unique fill every inch of the designs. You marvel at the outrageous use of colours and the mosaics that now fill whole walls in La Sagrada Familia.

We may arrange you to feel the passion of the flamenco (at your own expenses) at Barcelona's legendary Tablao Cordobes, where some of the greatest names in flamenco have performed and it reveals the variety of music, singing and dancing incorporated in this passionate art form!

The aroma of coffee and hot chocolate dominates the early hours and after tasting the wonderful local breakfast, you shall depart to a wonderful town in Catalonia, Rupit followed by Besalu.

Spend the rest of the day to discover the Jewish history in the delightfully well-preserved medieval town of Besalú looms into sight with its elegant, show-stopping 11th-century Pont Fortificat (Fortified Bridge) spanning the Riu Fluvià.

The brilliance and the beauty of the past return with the light of the morning in Besalu, it indicates that your following destination will be the quaint Cadaqués. This village gleams above the cobalt-blue waters of a rocky bay on Catalonia’s most easterly outcrop.

Fourteen kilometres inland from Catalonia's glistening Golf de Roses lies Figueres, birthplace of Salvador Dalí and now home to the artist’s flamboyant theatre-museum. It is a must for you to visit extraordinary Teatre-Museu Dalí, a monument to surrealism and a legacy that outshines any other Spanish artist!

Girona, northern Catalonia’s largest city is a jewellery box of museums, galleries and Gothic churches, strung around a web of cobbled lanes and medieval walls.

From there, you will move on to a picturesque village of crooked, narrow streets, though its old town and clifftop views retain their beauty, Tossa de Mar and then de[art back to Barcelona.

The morning in Barcelona is tranquil. After breakfast your private guide meets you at the hotel and brings you to the UNESCO-listed Park Guell. It’s a strange, enchanting place where Gaudí’s passion for natural forms really took flight and the artificial almost seems more natural than the natural.

Just 35 kilometres southwest of Barcelona, Sitges sizzles with beach life, late-night clubs and an enviable festival calendar.

Meanwhile, in Tarragona, this effervescent port city, Roman history collides with beaches, bars and a food scene that perfumes the air with freshly grilled seafood.
